Iris is a part-time physical therapist at The Physiolab NYC treating both pelvic floor and orthopedic conditions. Prior to acquiring her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Columbia University, she earned her Masters in Neuroscience from Teachers College Columbia University and her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College.
Her clinical practice is informed by her professional experience as a dancer, personal trainer, and yoga instructor, as well as her personal practices in karate, boxing, and strength training. In her post-graduate continuing education experience, Iris uses functional manual therapy, postural restoration, strength and conditioning principles, chronic pain and pain science, and her extensive pelvic health knowledge in bowel, bladder, and sexual function and dysfunction to support her patients on their healing journey.
Iris is a lover of all things movement. In her free time you will find her teaching and practicing yoga in and around her Brooklyn neighborhood Clinton Hill, bouldering, training her deadlifts or handstands, and finding rest and restoration at the Turkish baths, on the dance floor, or in nature with friends and family
